Two-component primers are made of a liquid component and a powder component, mixed just before application. The liquid part is often a polymer emulsion or a waterglass-based solution. The powder contains cement, fillers, and functional additives. This "separate first, combine later" system places far stricter demands on cellulose ethers than single-component products. Traditional HPMC often
