1.Brief Introduction
HPMC-Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose and Methyl Hydroxyethyl Cellulose and non-ionic cellulose ether made by natural high polymer cellulose as raw material and series of chemical processing. They are odorless, tasteless and non-toxic white powder, which can be dissolved in cold water to form a transparent viscous solution. Processing thickening, binding, dispersing, emulsifying, film, coating, suspending, absorbing, gelling, surface activity, water maintaining and protective colloid properties.
Gold quality of HPMC for Dry Mix Mortar.

3.HPMC for Dry Mix Mortar:
HPMC as cement mortar water retention agent, retarder mortar with pumping. Use mortar, gypsum, putty powder or other building materials as adhesives to improve daubability and prolong operation time. Use as paste ceramic tile, marble, plastic adornment, paste reinforces agent, still can reduce cement dosage. HPMC water retention properties make slurry in the smear will not dry too fast and crack, enhance the strength after hardening.
1.HPMC for Dry Mix Mortar Function.
It can thicken the fresh mortar so that it has a certain wet viscosity and prevents segregation. (Thickening)
Water retention is also the main property that helps to maintain the amount of free water in the mortar, thus allowing more time for the cementitious material to hydrate after the mortar has been applied. (Water Retention)
Its inherent air-entraining properties allow the introduction of uniformly fine air bubbles, improving the workability of the mortar.
2.Factors determining the admixture of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose
—Water absorption of the wall substrate
—Composition of the mortar
—Thickness of the mortar
—Water requirement of the mortar
—Setting time of the cementitious material
—Addition of other water retaining materials
