Floor mortar common problems and treatment
1) Cracking:
Due to the change of temperature difference (thermal expansion and contraction), the ground is destroyed and cracks appear. Or due to the grass-roots level is very wet. In the process of mortar solidification, the ground mortar and part of the water chemical reaction. The rest of the water is evaporated, and the volume of the mortar shrinks after the water evaporates causing the ground to crack.
Therefore, the grass-roots level should be cleaned up in advance, and start watering the ground 2-3 days in advance. Keep the ground moist and no bright water, in addition to the ground mortar condensation time should not be too long.
2) Ground sand:
① mortar water secretion, resulting in mortar in the fly ash and other small density of the admixture floating, resulting in sand phenomenon.
② Mortar mix ratio is unreasonable, the amount of admixture is too high. Resulting in poor abrasion resistance of the mortar surface layer, sanding.
Therefore, when designing the ground mortar ratio, it must be designed in conjunction with the construction environment. Can not blindly think that the laboratory data to meet the standard requirements.
3) Mortar strength is not enough:
The water-cement ratio is too large causing the consistency to be too high. It reduces the strength and hardness of the surface of the ground mortar and affects the wear resistance of the ground. When mixing, the water consumption of the ground mortar should be strictly controlled. Control the consistency between 45-55mm.
Landcel’s cellulose ether additives for floor mortars are effective in reducing mortar problems. Improves mortar performance.
